Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using CrabTalk you agree to these terms. If you are using CrabTalk on behalf of an organization, you accept these terms for that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

CrabTalk is a macOS desktop application that runs an agent runtime locally on your machine, paired with a cloud service that routes large language model requests and enforces usage quotas. The desktop app and the cloud service together are the "service."

You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use CrabTalk.

Don't use CrabTalk to break the law, infringe others' rights, abuse the cloud quota system, attempt to circumvent rate limits, or send traffic that endangers the service or other users. We may suspend accounts that do.

The free tier includes full use of the desktop app with a weekly cloud quota that resets Monday at 00:00 UTC. Paid plans raise quota and rate limits and are billed through Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout.

You can cancel anytime; paid access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which the account reverts to free. Charges already incurred are non-refundable except where required by law.

Notes and other data you create in the app are stored on your device and belong to you. You are responsible for the inputs you send through the service and for how you use the outputs. AI-generated output can be inaccurate — review it before relying on it.

The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrabTalk is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

We may update these terms or the service over time; material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date. You can stop using CrabTalk at any time, and we may suspend or end access for violations of these terms.
