Privacy Policy

Last updated May 28, 2026

This policy explains what CrabTalk collects and why. The short version: your notes stay on your device, and we don't sell your data or train on your prompts.

1.What we collect

Account. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and avatar.

Usage. We record quota consumption and basic request metadata (timestamps, model, token counts) to enforce limits and protect the service.

Billing. Payments are handled by Stripe. We store your plan status, not your card details.

2.What stays on your machine

Notes, sources, and the agent data you create in the app are stored locally on your device, not on our servers. Removing the app removes that local data.

3.How LLM requests are handled

When the app calls a language model, the request is routed through our cloud to the provider (such as Anthropic or OpenAI). We use request metadata to enforce quotas and prevent abuse. We do not sell your data and do not use your prompts or outputs to train models.

4.How we use your information

To provide and maintain the service, authenticate you, enforce quotas, process payments, and keep the service secure and reliable. We don't use it for anything else.

5.Third parties

We rely on Google for sign-in, Stripe for billing, and LLM providers for model inference. Each processes data under its own terms. We share only what those services need to function.

6.Your choices

You can sign out at any time, delete your account, and request a copy or deletion of the account data we hold. Local data is yours to manage on your device.

7.Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the "last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
